My client is currently recruiting for an accounts temp to work within their treasury department for a minimum of 3 months.

Hours 9-5 or 8.30-4.30.

The function for this role is to ensure the cash accounting function is efficiently maintained and accurately reported in the financial accounts department

Description


To ensure the cash accounting function is efficiently maintained and accurately reported in the financial accounts department.

Activities are as follows:
· To maintain sterling and foreign currency cashbooks on computerised spreadsheets
· Posting of cashbook to Management Information System
· Reconciliation of bank statements to general ledger
· Issuing and posting to accounts and reconciliation of sterling and foreign petty cash
· Maintaining direct debits as well as resolving any queries in connection with the company car leases
· Assist with the administration of processing expenses (sterling/foreign currency)
· Raising manual cheques
· Various balance sheet reconciliations
· Assisting with AP functions as required
· Preparing and posting journals
· Maintaining records required for PAYE settlement agreements
· To provide support and assistance in other accounting activities as required

Qualifications
· Knowledge of bookkeeping
· Good knowledge of systems and how they integrate with accounting principles
· Good communication skills
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge of MFGPro an advantage
